Instructions for end-user. 10. Legal Information 1. Introduction --------------- The Iflash32 Utility is an application program used for updating system BIOS and ME. 2. Supported Intel(R) Server Boards ---------------------- Intel(R) Server Board S1200RP series. 3. Supported Operating Systems ------------------------------ UEFI 2.3.1 WinPE* 3.x/4.x (EM64T) 4. Pre-requisites ----------------- 1. None. 5. Installation and Un-installation ----------------------------------- UEFI: Installation: ------------- 1. Unzip the compressed zip file on any windows machine and copy the folder to any external media. 2. Connect the external media to Intel(R) Server. 3. Go to the directory where Iflash32.efi is present in the external media 4. Now you can run command with options (example: "iflash32.efi -u -ni x032.cap") 5. Run Iflash32.efi -h for usage. Uninstallation: --------------- 1. To uninstall Iflash32 utility, manually delete the contents of the directory where the utility is present. WinPE: Installation: ------------ 1. Unzip and Copy the file into your local directory (e.g. C:\IFlash32). 2. Go to 'drivers' folder and Choose appropriate folder depends on the operating System and run "install.cmd" as administrator to install drivers. 4. Go to win_x86 or win_x64 folder based on the operating system and you can run iflash32.exe -h for help. Uninstallation: --------------- 1. To uninstall Iflash32 utility, manually delete the contents of the directory where the utility is present. 2. To uninstall the drivers, please follow this path : drivers->win and choose the x86 or x64 depends on the Operating system and run the uninstall.cmd. 6. Usage -------- 1. Command line Interface IFlash32 [Options] [File Name] a. To view the command-line help page: IFlash32 -h b. To update the System BIOS: IFlash32 -u [File Name] -nopc c. To display file information: IFlash32 -i [File Name] d. To display the system BIOS Version: IFlash32 -i e. To update the system BIOS in non-interactive mode: IFlash32 -u [FileName] -ni f. To Restore Default BIOS Settings IFlash32 -rd [biosadminpassword] if no BIOS Admin password is set then use IFlash32 -rd "" Note: Only on EFI, if no BIOS Admin password is set Then the user can give IFlash32 -rd "" Or IFlash32 -rd g. To by-pass platform check IFlash32 -nopc Note : Usage of this switch with a capsule file not intended for the system can corrupt the BIOS. h. To preserve OEM data IFlash32 -u [FileName] -saveoemdata i. To Restore ME default configuration. IFlash32 -rmec or IFlash32 -rmeconfig j. To update the System Backup BIOS: IFlash32 -u [File Name] UpdateBackupBios -ni 2. Reboot system after the update/Restore Default BIOS Settings operation is completed. 7. Known Issues --------------- 1. This release does not support the feature of displaying Boot Area Information of BIOS. 8. Supported features in the release ------------------------------------ 1.
